Authority Website

An authority website is a website that is considered an authority in a specific niche or industry category. This authority is generally determined by the fact that the website has very many backlinks pointing to it from other related websites.

Search engines give authority websites high ranking because if other related websites are adding links and pointing to it, then it’s assumed that it’s an important authority in the category. The backlinks imply that other so-called experts find the information on the authority website to be very valuable.
