Website Hosting

Website Hosting is a service provided by hosting companies like GoDaddy and Hostgator where they store the files of websites on their servers. Website owners can share a server with other website owners in a shared server arrangement. Or they can lease a server that only hosts their website in a dedicated server arrangement.

Websites are basically files stored on a server. As such, during a website sale, transferring these files from the seller’s hosting account to the buyer’s hosting account smoothly is paramount. It is best to have a website professional or the hosting companies handle the transfer as no buyer wants the website to go down during this process.
