SWIFT Code

The most important part of selling a website is of course getting paid by the buyer. High-dollar website sales generally involve bank wire transfers. In order for a money transfer to be successfully processed between banks, the buyer’s bank needs the seller’s bank’s SWIFT code and the seller’s IBAN.

A SWIFT code or SWIFT ID is a unique identification code assigned to each financial institution. Most codes contain the initials of the bank’s name. Sometimes each bank branch is assigned a special extended code. Contact your bank branch to request its code.
