Site-Wide Backlinks

August 23, 2013  |     |     |   0 Comment

Site-Wide Backlinks are links to a website that are present on every page of the referring website.

For example, a corporation may own an e-commerce website and include a hyperlink in the e-commerce website’s footer copyright information to the corporation’s own website. Thus, there will be a link on every single web page of the e-commerce website to the corporate website. These are site-wide backlinks to the corporate website.

However, most search engines will count all of these numerous backlinks as one link from the e-commerce website to the corporate website. As a website buyer purchasing a website, you must do the same.
