International Bank Account Number

When you sell a website, you want to get paid. As such, you want to ensure that you provide the correct banking information for a successful money wire transfer. For international wire transfers, you will need the IBAN for your bank account.

International Bank Account Number or IBAN is a set of characters used to correctly locate, identify, and verify bank accounts internationally. This reduces the risk of bank accounts being incorrectly debited or credited with funds during international money transfers.

The IBAN consists of characters that specify the country code, check digits, and domestic bank account number in that country. The domestic bank account number can be found at the footer of a cheque for the account issued by the domestic bank.
