Ghost Website

A ghost website is a website that is available online but its publishers have stopped updating the website.

The website has not been abandoned. Usually there’s a specific reason why it is no longer updated. Generally, it contains some content that is very valuable or useful over time.

In some notable cases, the website may have belonged to a famous writer (or contributor) who has passed away. And the website and its content are kept live as a tribute and memorial to the writer.
