Domain Parking

Domain parking involves registering a domain name but not adding any content on the domain. Generally, parked domains are monetized by allowing a parking company to deliver ads to visitors who visit the domain page. Every time a visitor clicks on an ad, the domain owner earns money.

In other cases, domains are parked in “Under Construction” status as the owner builds a website on the domain. Or he may simply redirect the domain to another URL.

Many domain registrars like GoDaddy provide parking services to domain registrants. Other non-registrar companies like Sedo also offer parking services to domain sellers in their marketplace.
