Affiliate websites are websites that are involved in affiliate marketing. This is performance-based marketing in which a merchant rewards the website owner (also known as affiliate) for each visitor or customer delivered to the merchant’s website by the affiliate.
The terms of what deserves a reward, monetary or otherwise, is determined by the merchant and agreed to by the affiliate. Examples include the visitor purchasing a product from the merchant or the visitor filling in a lead generation form on the merchant’s website.
