Above the Fold

August 01, 2014  |     |     |   0 Comment

Above the fold refers to the top part of a web page that a website visitor can see without scrolling down.

Most web marketers advise website owners to display their most important content above the fold. It’s the most effective way to convert website visitors  to customers.

For example, lead generation websites display lead generation forms above the fold for visitors to easily view them and fill them out. Many blogs, news or article websites monetized by Google AdSense (or other PPC ad networks) display horizontal banner ads above or below the masthead of the websites. Visitors can easily see the advertisement displayed and click on it.
